Arne Itkin is a famous Jewish jazz musician who lives in Copenhagen with his wife Miriam and their 6-year-old son Jacob. Rumors begin to spread that the Germans want to deport all Danish Jews, and when it becomes a reality the family must flee their home. They are told that they can sail to Sweden from Gilleleje with local fishermen, but local intel and the Gestapo quickly track them down. Now, it's all about survival for the small family who hope that the people helping them can be trusted.
