Victoria Falls: Africa's Garden of Eden

One can see them from distances up to 30 km: Like a mumbling, bubbling volcano, a glowing cloud rises from the earth. “The smoke of thunder”, this is how locals call the Victoria Falls. In the dry season, an unusual migration begins, elephant families come here from the Hwange National Park, 100 km away. Then a wonderful spectacle occurs: they swim through the Zambesi as if they were a huge string of pearls.
