A contemporary remake of the classic tear-jerker Beaches. While remaining faithful to the original story, we follow the lifelong friendship between LA-born CC Bloom and San Francisco rich girl Hillary Whitney after they serendipitously meet on Venice Beach. In this update, CC is a budding pop star who is struggling to make it in LA until she is discovered by a music producer who helps her develop her raw talent. Hillary is the daughter of a prominent lawyer who is intent on making her own destiny and getting out from under the control of her domineering father. Their friendship - even with its ups and downs - sustains them for decades.
