Hew and Kew, the stone people, have been living on top of their mountain for a very, very long time. They have seen many things happen in the valley below, so they aren't easily amazed by anything anymore, as they have their own little problems to deal with. But suddenly, mankind has started discovering and inventing new things, instead of just "woozeling" like they did before. This new behavior is beginning to threaten Hew and Kew's peaceful existence...
